The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) is a multidisciplinary professional organization promoting the safe and effective use of ultrasound in medicine. AIUM publishes clinical practice guidelines, conducts annual meetings, accredits ultrasound practices, and awards the FAIUM fellowship.
Accreditation
AIUM offers practice accreditation programs covering general, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, musculoskeletal, and point-of-care ultrasound. AIUM accreditation is recognized as a mark of quality in ultrasound imaging.
Fellowship
The FAIUM (Fellow, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine) designation recognizes outstanding contributions to ultrasound education, research, or clinical practice.
