The AIUM Honorary Fellow Award bestows honorary membership on individuals who have contributed significantly to the field of ultrasound in medicine and whose primary residence is outside of North America. Honorary Fellows are selected by the AIUM Board of Governors and recognized at the AIUM Annual Convention.

The SDMS W. Frederick Sample Student Excellence Award is an annual scholarly competition open to SDMS student members in diagnostic medical sonography. Submissions are accepted April 1 through May 31.
