The Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) is the accreditation review committee that works in conjunction with CAAHEP to evaluate and accredit sonography education programs in the United States. JRC-DMS develops standards and guidelines for sonography program accreditation.
Role in Accreditation
JRC-DMS reviews program applications, evaluates compliance with accreditation standards, and makes accreditation recommendations to CAAHEP. Programs seeking CAAHEP accreditation in diagnostic medical sonography must work directly with JRC-DMS.
