The AIUM Peter H. Arger Excellence in Medical Student Education Award honors an individual whose outstanding contributions to the development of medical ultrasound education for medical students warrant special merit. The award recognizes efforts to integrate ultrasound training into medical school curricula and clinical education. It is named for Peter H. Arger, MD, an early advocate for ultrasound education in medical schools.
