Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common malignant renal tumor in adults, accounting for ~85% of kidney cancers. Ultrasound is often the initial detection modality, identifying solid renal masses with variable echogenicity. CEUS (contrast-enhanced ultrasound) and CT/MRI are used for characterization. Sonographic features include hyperechoic masses (small clear cell RCC), irregular margins, and internal vascularity on Doppler.
