SuperSonic Imagine is a French ultrasound manufacturer that developed real-time shear wave elastography (SWE) and UltraFast imaging technology, founded in 2005 in Aix-en-Provence, France. The company’s Aixplorer and Mach 30 product lines are used for breast, musculoskeletal, liver fibrosis, and gynecologic imaging applications. SuperSonic Imagine became a subsidiary of Hologic, Inc. following Hologic’s acquisition in 2019.
