The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) is the professional membership organization for diagnostic medical sonographers. Founded in 1970, SDMS advocates for the profession, publishes the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and offers the FSDMS fellowship designation for distinguished members.
Membership and Fellowship
SDMS offers student, associate, and full membership categories. The FSDMS (Fellow of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is an honorary designation awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession through education, research, clinical practice, or advocacy.
