The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine offers a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program through its Radiation Sciences department in Iowa City, Iowa. The CAAHEP-accredited program offers two three-year professional tracks: general and vascular sonography, or cardiac and vascular sonography, each requiring a minimum of 120 semester hours. Graduates are eligible for ARDMS (RDMS, RVT) and CCI (RDCS) credentialing examinations.

CAAHEP accredited (10-year award). BS degree, 120 credit hours. Two 3-year tracks: General & Vascular (RDMS/RVT) or Cardiac & Vascular (RDCS/RVT). Up to 20 students accepted per year. Competitive admissions — application due January 15.
